Michael Hanake meets the Blair Witch Project in Kim Gok's Exhausted, a vicious kick in the pants to everyone in the audience, all in the name of "style." A man meets a mute woman, and as any reasonable person would do in such a situation, makes her his prostitute. But the pimping is the least of our problems. As we get exhausted by the grainy faux-16mm camerawork, the film gets increasingly deranged. The closest thing we get to a sympathetic character is the pimp, simply because he's got too much self-respect to fuck a mute whore. Everyone else is either a gory mess, or a gory mess in disguise. Even the prostitute, which even a thug like Lars von Trier would make likeable, comes off as a delirious scary woman whose shrieks strike like blows to the jugular.
Kim Gok has seemingly abandoned the Marxist critiques of his short films, going instead for mindless brutality which culminates in an endless bloody freak-show involving, among other things, a pair of scissors going where pairs of scissors should not go. In the middle of the bloodbath, we get an extended long take of the beaten prostitute's near-dead face, but it does not elicit sympathy or pity. In fact, images of the victim only make us shy away in shock. (Indeed, the extended sequence led to continuous walk-outs during the Pusan screening.) The long take invites us to stare, but it assumes we're as sadistic as the victimizer (and the film) is. Meanwhile the sound-effects (mostly a rumbling bassline that shakes the theater) pulsates with pure wickedness. With Hanake, shock creates reflection, which asks that we be critical. Here, we only want to escape. I suppose Exhausted has some virtues; the shots of drilling machines and factories provide a mesmerizing phallic backdrop to the pimp and prostitute's pursuits. But everything else hurts too much. At least Kim Ki-duk lets us breathe. Exhausted makes Bad Guy look like Lady and the Tramp. (asiaarts.ucla.edu)

不要坦然接受那死寂的旋律，不要卑微沉默着低下头颅，不要被生命闭锁的时态所困窘。那些让人完美赞叹的食物和光鲜华丽的衣饰从未如此扼人咽喉，能够捆缚住手脚的绝不只锁铐，那些恐怖机械化的皇室牢笼，恰是更加丰腴了斯宾塞对美好自由精神的向往，那些渴望逝去的记忆，恰是填补透视了未来的景观。要去剪开那封闭带刺的栅栏门窗，要去拯救那空乏的肢体，要去拾得沉睡已久的自我。望着独自在墙内孤寂抚慰自我的“王妃”，拉雷恩同样被异化的创作姿态通过不断裂变的语言释放出一种持续不断、急不可待、且随时可能爆发的能量，仿佛不停在暗示我们需要和她一起战胜这虚伪的景观。每天她都在美梦中醒来，却撕碎了眼前一切，鼓足最后的力气去迎接噩梦般的现实。在未知到来的爱意和归来复辟的速度面前，她终于可以不惧深情地承认——“是斯宾塞，而非戴安娜。”
空洞无物，不知所云，小K一张口那英音听的我尴尬症要犯了，还是暮光好看。
不愧是你，《第一夫人》的导演，K独角戏，表演还挺好的，竟拍成了惊悚片，“穿越对话”线不错。
摄影和配乐无疑很出色 可以看出小K真的是很努力在塑造这个角色…演技确实比暮光时代好很多 但口音和神态无可避免留下了比较明显的模仿痕迹 尤其和剧版王冠里的戴安娜比起来处于下风
可以说是小k的独角戏，演技跃升到新高度，此片批判皇室婚姻对无辜少女的迫害比任何同类型作品都要狠，通过沉浸式的表达，追忆童年，类比断头皇后，把戴安娜完全塑造成了一个可怜的并对未来即将到来的厄运浑然不知的可怜无助的女人，不过前提是多少了解这场皇室婚姻的背景，戴安娜就像献祭给皇室的新娘，看着她一点点枯萎并走向最终的死亡，你会恨透了英国皇室的冷漠虚伪。
Depressing and beautiful. I think Pablo Larraín is better with character-centric films that involve much more dynamism, like Ema. There's some parallel, of course, in his treatment of these two female characters' range of emotional experiences, but this one feels flat. The release at the end feels satisfying, despite its smallness.

在库布里克般的对称图和推拉式的跟拍镜头下，构建出了某种仪式的牢笼和追踪逃亡的路径，视听上的双重压迫将电影的质感升格为了两小时的panic attack。
Rather "The Crazy Commoner-became-princess" than "Spencer". A badly written story - it's a series of foreign commoner's presumptions on what it would be like for an American sweetheart's life in prince diana's shoes. The logic of her breakdowns doesn't stand - she knew the way of life before she signed herself in. In short - utter crap.

好好一个英国女王，选角跟个暴发户+小人得志一样。
放过那串珍珠项链吧，不知道这意识流要表现啥，只看到渣K很美。评论里有“KS演得不错，但下次不要演了”，笑死。
比想象中好好多~特别后半程 (开头还在想K和Sally间tension好棒，后面简直啊啊啊哈哈(๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧
我是小k粉丝，不评价演技了，有滤镜。反正题材不喜欢，不迷王室。衣服都非常漂亮。
#Venezia 78# 117分钟，从黛安娜回到斯宾塞。K的表演戏剧感挺强，没什么问题
前面大半段在情节设置以及暗喻的精巧感方面处理得很不错，浅显但依然颇有力道。那些压抑的冰冷的对称感，几乎是独角戏的处理，其他人都化作监控镜头一般冷硬的背景板，却都是窒息要素的一份子。
事实上是完成了一次《闪灵》的再造，空洞的大宅、幽灵、梦境与幻象。爵士鼓点与运动长镜思及《鸟人》——相同的焦虑感。沉稳的封闭性空间构图以及在戴安娜的近景与特写镜头中不安分的摄影运动，嵌套的蒙太奇确实加强了阶级与皇室贵族的限制力量，戴安娜强烈的渴望挣脱牢笼的冲动同样在观众这里得到了感受，直至最后我才意识到这是一个发生在90年代的故事。可将问题的解决与自我家族血统的认同相联系的处理方式似乎感觉略微轻浮。最后，克里斯汀的表演始终是没能深入到我的内心。她很卖力了，但遗憾就遗憾在我看出了她的卖力。
全片一直都在说戴安娜怎么疯，怎么崩溃，怎么无法忍受，但是却完全没有说为什么。
