The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 低成本动作片里的成功之作，动作设计有接近韩国动作片水平，美术设计也不错。
一部古装爽片，美术，摄影，动作在很多细节上都颇用心思。片名也是亮点之一，值得稍加细品。
不过这个“盲侠”的IP，感觉做成系列剧很不错啊，每一集（季）一个故事，以类似说书人的视角娓娓道来，一个侠义之士的传奇。
比预期好很多很多，七十分钟的篇幅，竟无一场软戏，细节撑得很足，人设做足了功夫；其余该用“干脆”来形容合适，打得干脆、血腥干脆，对道义的诠释也干脆；那种酣畅感，系血红雪白，相映成辉。
但是看下来 毫无尿点
故事很简单，深藏不露却为路见不平拔刀相助，画面处理的很好，加一颗星。
目中无人是因为主角是个瞎子，故事简单至极，喝了人家一坛酒，一路砍砍杀杀，主要就看点动作场面。
网大的投资水平，换来风格化十足的。甚至可以系列化的主题；一双错骨手、一把听风刀、一招楼兰斩，中国版座头市；“杀死一个人要偿命，杀一万个人就不用了，这么简单的道理你不懂吗”；
整体来说故事挺简单的，主要就是看打戏，动作设计和镜头切换挺流畅的
谢苗网大界熬出头了？有点无限之住人的意思。联瑞参与，剧本再磨磨大银幕可以有。
第3561-干着别的随便看的，美术不错，不知道是不是借鉴了《镖人》，剧情实在实在一般。
自黄河大侠30年以来第二个瞎子大侠，情节很单薄，没有黄河大侠丰满，主要就是干。
成乙用酒祭刀，火刀乍现，不禁感叹，好狠的瞎子。
如果是院线电影，应该也不会差的。小制作的大电影
配乐，摄影，剪辑都是高水准的
有被爽到！太久没有这么让人嗨的电影了，上一部是[绣春刀]。
即便只是学了黑泽明的一点皮毛，也要胜过多少网大电影了。

最后30分钟，导演一面在剧情及打斗上进行了“缩水”，另一面却加入了突兀的日本武士风，画蛇添足差点把控不住。
