The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 基本上不过取材于历史真实事件的外壳，电影本身的情节全部都是虚构的，而且还夹带了当下庸俗但「政治正确」的私货，「三义士」是南非黑人解放运动成功后的「由果倒退」的虚名，却被本片编导煞有介事的炮制「神话」，可见电影作为纯粹的宣传工具时的不堪。

总之，这部还挺现实的，，同性恋并不是单纯的幻想中的bl和百合这样，，
南非黑人自由的代价也是一段刻骨铭心的历史，本片的渲染很到位。但最后过分的洗白就有些过了
影片所依据的真实事件，发生在1980年1月25日的南非。十年后曼德拉才出狱。
里面的54式手枪和56冲实在抢眼，那个年代tg的革命输出也是有机会让世界红成一片的。
第三人称和史实角度：他们可能只是政治生涯中的一枚棋子，所有人都在迎合政治去下这盘大棋。最后他们输了，或者说他们根本就没赢过，只是平白无故的牺牲。他们证明了什么，但好像又什么都没证明，只留下了若干具尸体。
不过也没有想象的无聊
前1个小时铺垫过长，而且并没有把人物性格人物背景交代好，好在后30分钟的高潮捡起来了。“若为自由故，一切皆可抛”。
大大方方地接受没什么大不了的，爱情不分年龄性别，两个人相爱便足矣。
自由的代价是非常昂贵的，除了需要得到绝大多数人的支持，而且还需要革命者牺牲。
剧播的时候就很喜欢这个故事，所以电影也一直很期待。

没想到真实发生过？不平等和平等都难处理……
另外三位南非“革命先驱”在片中形象真的一点都不高大全。男主卡尔文有哮喘，也不像是特别聪明的人。但当你看到他们为了那个在当时根本不可能达成的目标而拼上一切时，又深深的使人动容……
